The Amazonas Association was registered in Zagreb in 2004 with the purpose of encouraging positive change and social activation. Our activities are centered around implementing programs and projects aimed at educating, empowering, and enhancing the quality of life for children, youth, and adults in the local community. We focus on three main areas of work: social support, active and mobile youth, and movement and sports. Within these areas, we organize activities for active leisure, promote volunteering and involvement in the local community, and conduct workshops, education, and training sessions. Through capoeira and sports activities, we implement programs for the development of social skills among children and youth. Our work is primarily directed towards social groups at risk and those with limited opportunities, including children and youth with behavioral problems, as well as families at risk. To ensure the success and high quality of our projects, we collaborate with numerous associations, institutions, and centers at the local, regional, European, and global levels.
