The international training course focused on the practical use of non-formal education methods in working with young people and international groups. Its aim was to develop the competences of youth leaders, project coordinators, and volunteers by introducing them to proven methods that can be applied both in international Erasmus+ projects and in the everyday work of their organisations. The programme was based on active learning, the exchange of experiences, and the development of practical skills.
Participants explored methods of group integration, team building, evaluation, and reflection, as well as educational approaches used by the HEureka Generator Association. Particular emphasis was placed on workshops dedicated to Living History Lessons, graffiti, youth debates, and handicraft, during which participants examined how these methods could be adapted for working with different target groups. An important part of the training also included study visits to Bełżec, Zwierzyniec, Roztocze National Park, and Zamość, demonstrating how history, culture, and local heritage can become valuable tools for non-formal education. The programme was complemented by a visit to the Festival of Illusionists and Street Artists in Lublin, which served as an inspiration for using art and public spaces as educational tools.
The training enabled participants to acquire new competences, exchange good practices, and establish international partnerships that created a solid foundation for future cooperation and the development of new educational projects.
