We organized a study visit

Last weekend was full of talks, inspiration, presentations and visiting our local partners.

All this happened due to the study visit we organized for the participants of the 15th and 16th editions of the School for Leaders of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.

The School for Leaders of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation is a unique and comprehensive program of support and development of Leaders acting for their local environment or for some significant social change. Each year, participants and graduates of the school have the opportunity to take part in a study visit, during which they can learn about good practices of other graduates. Andrzej Smyk, president of the HEureka Generator association is a graduate of the 6th edition of this program.

We started the meeting on Friday, August 13 in the afternoon, presenting our city and the possibilities being active in our environment.

On Saturday, we visited the 'Okrąglak' Cultural Center, where we met the vice president of the Zamojskie Volontary Service Center association and the chair of the Zamość Council of Seniors, Ms Krystyna Rybińska-Smyk, who talked about the activities of the 'Okrąglak' Cultural Center and presented the history of the implementation of local and international projects of the Zamojskie Volontary Service Center association.

Then we moved to HEureka's office, where we talked about how international youth projects can become a valuable tool supporting our local activities, how to involve young people in the organization's activities in the long term, how to plan the project budget and how to deal with project problems.

On Sunday morning, we met with the Bastion Foundation, which activity focuses on historical reconstructions, and in HEureka's project activities it is a valuable part of many of our actions.

We are sure that the study visit will soon bring new development opportunities for the inhabitants of our region and our guests' regions.
