Living History Lessons - Work in progress
We are after the meetings with seniors, the main characters of the website lekcjezyjejhistorii.pl. This week we met with Mr. Tomasz Kowalczyk, an honorary member of the World Association of Home Army Soldiers.
Mr.Tomasz told us about what the Second World War looked like from the perspective of a child who was born two years before its outbreak. chem. We also learned about his many years of efforts to commemorate the fate of Poles fighting and taken captive during the war.
We also met Mrs. Barbara Szleszyńska-Malec - President of the Board of the Zamość Branch of the Syberian Exiles Union, who was born on exile. She told us about the extraordinary history of her family, which, despite many adversities, managed to return to Poland.
Both meetings were very inspiring and full of valuable historical information first hand. They will be released in July on the website we are creating in the form of video material in Polish and English.
The project is implemented by the HEureka Generator association as part of the 'Culture on the Web' program of the National Center for Culture.
