At the reception point for refugees at Zamojskiego str. 62 volunteers from Zamość operate 24 hours a day.

About 200 refugees spend the night here every day. The situation calls to come as often as possible, and it has been successful so far. Volunteers are of different ages, which in not a problem if its about effective cooperation.

What exactly are we doing?

• We accept transports with food, cosmetics, blankets, bedding, mascots for children, sanitary articles ...
• We run a kitchen that prepares and delivers ready meals 24 hours a day. We cooperate here with many restaurants from Zamość, inhabitants of Zamość and the surrounding area;
• Together with translators, psychologists and pedagogists from Zamość, we provide support to refugees whose mental condition, after a long journey and difficult experiences, often requires a specialist conversation or simply being close to another person;
• We communicate with other reception points and support centers in Zamość, trying to meet the needs of people with disabilities or the sick;
• We answer numerous questions about the onward journey of refugees and help organize it;
• We monitor the number of available places on an ongoing basis. After the refugees leave, we prepare places for next people;
• We communicate with the medical point that provides first aid to people staying at our point;
• We serve hot tea and coffee outside the building in a specially prepared cottage;

... and many other things related to current needs.

Volunteers working here are representatives of non-governmental organizations from Zamość and the inhabitants of Zamość and the surrounding area. We are strong and ready.
