The FutureS Youth - Inclusion for Sustainability project has been prepared by our Spanish partner, the organization Viaje a la Sostenibilidad, as part of Key Action 2 of the European Erasmus+ program. The Heureka Generator Association is the Polish partner of the project.
This initiative is specially designed to address the unique challenges related to sustainable development faced by young people from marginalized neighborhoods in various European communities. The project will address the concept of sustainable development as a whole, focusing particularly on food sovereignty, sustainable fashion, and climate-related topics. Sustainable development and social inclusion are crucial for the holistic development and empowerment of youth in today's global context. Sustainable development not only protects the environment for future generations but also instills in youth a sense of responsibility and care. By promoting an understanding of sustainable practices such as food sovereignty, eco-friendly fashion, and climate-related issues, young people become active participants in building a resilient and environmentally conscious society. At the same time, inclusion ensures that all young people, regardless of their background or circumstances, have equal access to opportunities and resources.
The recipients of our project proposal are: participating organizations that will contribute to the intellectual outputs; Educators who will enhance their pedagogical skills; Youth who will gain knowledge; Local communities who will witness the positive effects of sustainable initiatives.
During the project, a toolkit for educators will be developed: a comprehensive resource guide containing lesson plans and materials for educators to effectively integrate sustainable development practices into their teaching methods. A practical guide for developing and implementing community-led projects that address sustainability issues in neglected neighborhoods.
We invite you to follow the project updates on the project tab on our website in the coming months. We will post information about ongoing work here. The project proposal will be submitted by March 5, 2024, and we will await the assessment of our proposal by the Spanish National Agency for the Erasmus+ program.
