The COVID-19 pandemic was an experience that had a significant impact on young people around the world. For more than a year, education took place entirely online. With the perspective of time, it has become increasingly clear that isolation, limited contact with peers, and long-term distance learning had consequences that went far beyond education itself.
Many young people faced challenges related to motivation, mental well-being, and building social relationships. At the same time, this period encouraged the search for new ways of coping with loneliness and reduced social interaction.
During the youth exchange, participants will talk about these experiences from today’s perspective, sharing their personal stories and observations. Participants will also present different strategies they used to stay connected with others, take care of themselves, and adapt to isolation. Working together in an international group will allow them to compare experiences from different countries and cultural contexts. In this way, the exchange will contribute to a deeper understanding of the long-term consequences of the pandemic while strengthening bonds between young people.
