Competences in the field of self-presentation, critical thinking and public speaking are very important. Young people must constantly develop them in order to find themselves on the labor market and to be able to present their strengths also in private life.

From February 11, 2019, young people from Poland, Latvia, Hungary and the Czech Republic participated in an international youth exchange entitled 'Talk, talk', which focused on the development of the above competences.

We wanted young people to have as many opportunities as possible to present themselves in front of the group and to form their own opinions on socially important topics. We also talked about how to deal with stress in situations where we have to express our opinion in public.

We intensively used the debating methods that HEureka Generator has been using since the beginning of our organization, both locally and internationally. The theses of the debates prepared and discussed by our group include: 'It is our duty to have children', 'Students should wear uniforms', 'We all should live zero-waste lifestyle'.

We conducted the activities from November 15, 2018 to March 14, 2019.

The Polish group consisted of students from W. Jagiełło Secondary School from Krasnystaw and a student from Children of the Zamość Secondary School from Zamość. The schools attended by the participants are local partners of the HEureka Generator association. The cooperation between these schools and our association allows students to represent HEureka in international youth projects in Poland and abroad.

The youth were accommodated in the W. Jagiełło school dormitory in Krasnystaw. An important part of the exchange was the trip to Zamość, during which our group advertised the project, the Erasmus+ program and conducted a street poll with the city's residents regarding the debates.

We also organized an Oxford debate tournament at W. Jagiełło Secondary School, where, apart from our participants, there were other young people, participants of previous projects. We broadcast this meeting on the Internet. So far, over 2,000 people have seen the broadcast.

After the exchange, local presentations of the project results were conducted in the communities of our participants.

We invite you to check video recordings from the debates and promo videos of the whole project.
