We developed our knowledge about the Human Library method in its professional form last year during an international training course in the Czech Republic, implemented by our partner, the Brno for you organization. One of the trainers there was Dorota Mołodyńska-Küntzel, who promotes this method in our country.

The participants task was to use the acquired knowledge after the end of the project on a local and international level. Before we went to Czech Republic, we had a sketch of the activities related to the method. One of our ideas was to create an international youth exchange based on the idea of this method. This is how, together with partners from the Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Romania and Latvia, we created 'Read me'.

During the youth exchange, which took place between March 25 - April 2, 2019 in Zwierzyniec near Zamość, the participants exchanged experiences regarding their social activities, took part in Human Library simulation, and then prepared from scratch the Human Library event in Zamość.

We implemented the project from January 15 to May 14, 2019.

The event took place on March 29 at the SMART SCHOOL bilingual primary school, which is a local partner of the HEureka Generator Association. Students of this school came to the library and they could borrow books related to the following topics: My active life with physical disability; My life with epilepsy; I am a representative of a national minority in the country where I live; I fight bulimia; Bullying at school.

At the moment of taking a rest from the joint work, the participants visited Zamość Old Town and took part in a meeting with the media, sharing their impressions from their stay in the Zamojskie region.

After the meeting in Poland, all project partners conducted activities disseminating and enhancing the visibility of joint activities. They lasted until mid-May 2019.
