Months of preparations, joint acquisition of new skills and knowledge, many new inspiring people and the accumulation of great experience for the further development of our organization and our partners' organizations - all this was brought by the implementation of the international youth project 'Let me tell you a story - Whisper of exile'.
In the project, we discussed the topic of Europeans who were deported to Siberia during and after World War II. Many witnesses of those times still live in the Lubelskie region and are able to share their stories with the next generation. We met these people and wrote down their stories. The meetings were held at the Zamość Tourist and Historical Information Center and at the homes of our seniors.
The participants also visited places in our region that are directly related to the topic. Thanks to the implementation of the project participants historical knowledge gained with help of non formal education metods increased.
Project activities were carried out from September 29 2017 to February 28 2018.

During the exchange, we met with the students of the C.K. Norwid Secondary School in Krasnystaw and we prepared a happening in Zamość, combined with the distribution of leaflets with the main thoughts of the heroes of our interviews.
The meeting in Poland took place on January 31 - February 10, 2018, and after it work on disseminating the project results continued. Partner organizations advertised video materials that were created during the meeting in Poland.
Thanks to them, we have gained many recipients who found out what we managed to achieve, what the structure of the international youth exchange looks like and gained the opportunity to read the interviews with Siberian exiles, which we have prepared in Polish and English.
Our youth exchange based on the 'living history lesson' method and it was not one time adventure. It was woven into the long-term plan related to the promotion of intergenerational dialogue in Europe. At the end of the meeting in Poland, we already outlined a plan for continuing our cooperation on this topic.
We invite you to read the publication and to watch the video materials documenting the project.
