Training for Teachers, W. Jagiełło Secondary School
On October 6, in Krasnystaw, we conducted a training entitled 'Methods of non-formal education as an innovative and effective form of shaping the competences of the future' for teachers of our partner, W. Jagiełło Secondary School.
The aim of the training was to familiarize teachers with popular and effective methods of non-formal education, the flexibility of which allows for various applications during lessons.
Participants learned in a practical way the methods of group integration, team building techniques and how to use debates in various styles in work with young people.
We also conducted a set of exercises that help to increase the number of neural connections between the hemispheres of the brain, which directly increases the efficiency of the mind. The benefits for young people after performing this type of exercise are strengthening of concentration, the ability to set and pursue goals, motor coordination, and broaden the field of view.
The meeting participants were also acquainted with the current activities of the HEureka Generator association and the results of our projects. On this basis, we discussed the possibilities of engaging school students in further joint activities.
The training was conducted by the president of the HEureka Generator association and non-formal education trainer, Andrzej Smyk, and member of the association, trainer Katarzyna Kurowska.
